Textile / Fiber Arts
2009–Present
Textile and fiber art are a central part of my artistic practice. This series showcases a range of textile and fiber works, with weaving as the primary discipline and foundation. The works incorporate weaving alongside other fiber techniques such as applique, embroidery, and quilting, allowing each piece to expand beyond a single method and speak through multiple textile languages.
A key component of this series is the intentional design of each loom. I specifically design and construct the looms as an integral part of the textile work, rather than as a neutral tool. In several pieces, the loom remains visible and becomes part of the final artwork, blurring the boundary between process and object. The loom functions both as structure and concept, shaping how the textile is made and how it is experienced.
The series includes tapestry-based textiles as well as a wide range of fiber artworks that explore materiality, surface, and form. Through this body of work, weaving is not only a technique but a framework — one that connects tradition, experimentation, and contemporary textile expression.
